Warangal: In a bid to keep the people well informed, Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhasker has released a progress report on the developmental works undertaken in his constituency.

During a press conference in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, the MLA released a four-page report containing the facts and figures of development works launched and executed during the last six months.

“During the last six months, with the help of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Rs 25 crore was spent for various works, including executing repair works to roads and for laying of new roads, building community halls, improving drainage system, installing streetlights and laying new drinking water pipelines,” he said.

During the Seemandhra regime, the development of the constituency was affected as the then rulers did not release funds. For instance, several requests seeking 300 square yards of land for constructing Kaloji Memorial in Warangal fell on deaf ears.

“But now Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao has allocated 3.5 acres land and Rs 10 crore funds for the same.

A huge memorial building named after Kaloji Narayana Rao would come up soon in Hanamkonda,” the MLA explained.

In addition to that many major projects like Textile Park and others would be coming up here, he added.

Vinay Bhasker said that the Chief Minister was fully aware of problems and issues of all Telangana districts.

He was particularly interested in developing Warangal, the second biggest city in the state, along with other parts of the district. IT companies would be set up at Madikonda ensuring employment to graduates.

He said there would not be any problem of funds for development as TRS has come to ruling. Vinay Bhasker pointed out that after getting elected in 2009, he found fulfilling his promises difficult due to lack of funds. There was no such problem for funds now.

Earlier, Vinay Bhasker held a meeting with division level leaders of the party. He told the party workers to come up with development proposals and also to take the welfare measures being implemented by the government into public.

The government was committed to provide social security pensions to all the eligible and the party workers should do their part to ensure that pensions were issued to all the eligible beneficiaries, he said.

Warangal district Bar Association president G Ravi Kumar and others were present.
