Bhikshapathi joined the Naxal movement in 2001. He went underground in the initial period in Warangal before being involved in various offences in different districts of Chattisgarh, including attack on police stations, killing of policemen and CRPF personnel and theft of weapons, he said. The surrendered rebel belongs to Warangal district while his wife is a native of Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, the police added.
