Khammam: Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkata Rao on Sunday took charge as Parliamentary Secretary (attached to Chief Minister’s Office).
He offered prayers before entering into his chambers on the fifth floor of the C Block in Hyderabad. He was greeted by Minister Lakshma Reddy and senior IAS officers Ajay Mishra and M G Gopal on the occasion.
Speaking to reporters, Venkata Rao said he would work hard to serve the people and realise the TRS government’s dream of bringing Bangaru Telangana.
Thanking Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said, “I will utilise this opportunity to earn a good name for myself and the government.” He said he would also work to strengthen the party from grass-root level in Khammam district.
