Hyderabad: Sacked Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah, who was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Hyderguda, after he fell unconscious following chest pain on Tuesday evening, was later discharged. Earlier, he was kept in the ICU for observation for a brief period and discharged as his health condition improved. Meanwhile, Chief Minister’s Office is learnt to have enquired about his health.

According to Rajaiah's supporters, he did not eat food for the last two days. He was very depressed at the turn of events leading to his expulsion from the cabinet. Rajaiah fell down from the chair while drinking milk and family members immediately rushed him to the hospital, they said.

Meanwhile, in a health bulletin, hospital sources stated that Rajaiah was suffering from high BP, chest pain as well as from sugar. Cardiologists attended him while he was kept in observation in ICU, doctors said. Tribal Minister Chandu Lal, TDP leader Mothkupalli Narasimhulu among others visited the hospital. MRPS activists staged protest at the hospital blaming Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for Rajaiah’s condition. Speaking to newsmen after coming out of the hospital, Rajaiah said he was doing fine. He said KCR was like a father figure to him.
