Bhadrachalam: Sahasra Kalasabhishekam was conducted in a grand manner at Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district on Tuesday. Ankurarpana for this ceremony was done on Sunday. A ritual to ward off Vaasthu Dosha, Homam and Agni Pratishta were conducted ceremoniously on Monday.

Thousand water-filled consecrated pots were arranged in a row and the presiding deity was invoked. In this connection a special worship was organised. The processional deities were given a royal bathing by pouring water from the thousand pots in an orderly manner.

The deities were also given a holy bath with Panchaamrutham, fruit juice, turmeric and Kumkum. Kalasabhishekam is organised as an annual feature to remove the transgressions, if any, occurred in the temple during the year. The devotees were thrilled to witness the entire ritual.
