Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha made a surprise visit to various colonies in the first division under the limits of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation here on Friday. She went around the Housing Board colony, MIG and LIG colonies and spoke to residents.
The TRS leader also told them that she would take measures for improving basic facilities in the colonies. She warned the land encroachers of serious action against them.
Later, speaking to the media, Kavitha came down heavily on the opposition for politicising the issue of shifting the Secretariat to the premises of Chest hospital. She asked whether it was wrong to set up all government offices at one place.
The MP said that the Opposition leaders were criticising Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as they were unable to digest the developmental works taken up by the TRS government.
Nizamabad Mayor Akula Sujatha, ZP Vice-Chairperson Gaddam Sumana Reddy, corporators and officials were present.
