Anti Swine Flu campaign in Univerity of Hyderabad

The 5000 masks have been distributed in the campus of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) by students unions as under panic about Swine Flu virus spread after post-doctoral fellow Sudha Nirmala, succumbed to the virus infection.

The special he drive by a student union, which gave away masks to staffers and students on the campus also organised a two days free medical testing camp for all in association with a private hospitaland distributed free preventive homeopathis medicines along with pamphlets on guidelines to prvent the spread of the deadly air borne virus .

The focus on the university student union news letters and also the local amatuer radio has been on the need to wash hands as many times as possible, dispose the garbage regularly and also use mask if you can not keep breath away .

Set up in the university shopping complex, swine flu cam witnessed a huge turnout of students, families of staffers and faculty who came in to collect the medicines reflecting the the atmosphere of panic prevalent at the varsity. There was a huge response from the students, when they heard that preventive homeopathy medicines for swine flu were being given, on Friday and Saturd.

But there is an air of expectation as the camp and the preventive steps would only slightly allayed the students' fears. The popilar slogan on the campus has been 'Wash your hand and also keep your breath away with Mask".
