Astrology advice makes KCR cancel trip to Vemulawada Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao afraid of divine repercussions is most likely to give the visit to the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada a miss on Maha Shivratri on February 17.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao afraid of divine repercussions is most likely to give the visit to the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada a miss on Maha Shivratri on February 17. The visit was to present silk clothing as per custom to Lord Shiva.

Mr. Rao has apparently been advised by astrologers that offering prayers at the ancient temple may affect his political career. Mr Rao, ahead of the general elections, promised to visit the temple and develop it as he regretted that the shrine was ignored by previous governments headed by Seemandhra leaders.

According to the public opinion, the temple has had a negative impact on public representatives’ career as after offering prayers at Vemulawada’s Rajanna temple, many leaders have lost elections which have definitely impacted on Mr Rao’s decision to not visit the shrine.

Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple’s executive officer D. Rajeshwar informed that the Chief Minister’s tour had not been finalized yet. However, inside sources reveal that Mr Rao would not be attending one of the largest congregations in district, the annual three-day Jatara

Mr. Rao’s visit had been awaited by the residents of the temple as they hoped that the Chief Minister would bestow some sops on the town. Per annum, the temple’s income registers around Rs 50 crore.
