Security check by US team for Rajeev Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad

To carry out the security checks at the Hyderabad Rajeev Gandhi International airport, the Centre has accepted the visit of a team from the US Department of Transportation. The security audit schedule is still in the process to be confirmed.

The only carrier operating from Hyderabad to the US via Delhi is Air India which was launched in 2010 and its passengers have to undergo security check at both airports before flying to the US. But if the US team clears the security mechanism at the Hyderabad airport, the passengers don’t have to undergo the security check once again at the Delhi airport.
