With the summer approaching, the rains brought in a surprise but the city was thrown out of gear as Power in several parts of the city. Power supply got disrupted in many areas like Domalguda, Himayathnagar, Barafbagh, West Marredpally and Secunderabad. While the residents confirmed the power restorage, they also said that an outage took place again.
Ranga Reddy district chief, SPDPCL, Pandya Nayak said that power lines were disrupted due to the sudden rainfall and wind but the power was restored within 20 minutes in Kukatpally, Medchal, Chandanagar and Saroornagar areas.
Even though it was a Sunday, emergency teams were called to restore power, and removed the tree branches fallen on the roads which a concern received through many distress calls said an official with the team.
