Shatavahana Varsity Cancels ‘Self Centres’. The Shatavahana University has decided to allot centres for students to appear for upcoming annual degree examinations.
Karimnagar: The Shatavahana University has decided to allot centres for students to appear for upcoming annual degree examinations. The decision followed cancellation of earlier policy to allow private degree colleges to have “self centres.”
The officials of the Shatavahana University on Sunday announced cancellation of “self centres” in Private degree colleges in Yellareddypet and Raikal mandals. The officials changed the “self centre” of Gayathri Degree College of Yellareddypet to Vagdevi Degree College under the same mandal and the “self centre” of Gnanodaya Degree College of Raikal Mandal to Nalanda Degree College under Jagithyala mandal.
ABVP district convenor Praveen complimented the university authorities for cancelling the “self centres.” TNSF and SFI student unions too expressed their happiness over the decision.
