Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Jana Reddy on Monday invited criticism from within the party for suggesting his junior Sampath to tender an apology for joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members to disrupt the Governor’s speech on the first day of budget session.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee new president Utham Kumar Reddy is learnt to have expressed displeasure over Jana Reddy’s suggestion to Sampath to tender apology. According to sources, Uttam told Jana Reddy that being in the Opposition, the Congress should play a role to put the ruling party in fix.

It may be recalled that the CLP leader sought that the members who defamed the House and belittled the national anthem should apologise. This comment led to discontent among the Congress members who openly found fault with Jana Reddy. Later, Jana maintained that he would expose the failures of the government in future, according to sources.
