Nalgonda: Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Kapilavai Dilip Kumar on Monday appealed to the voters of Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates’ constituency to cast their first priority vote to BJP candidate E Rammohan Rao as it would send a strong signal to the TRS government on the resentment against the government, which was taking ‘unilateral’ decisions.

Addressing a media conference here, Dilip Kumar said the TRS government had failed to take a single concrete step to achieve ‘Bangaru Telangana’. Moreover, it was adopting ‘irrelevant’ policies much to the detriment of the interests of the people of Telangana State. He pointed out that it had also not released a single job recruitment notification after coming to power, causing distress among the Telangana students and unemployed youth, who played a crucial role in the Telangana agitation. Recalling that the TRS government was seeking funds from the Centre for Mission Kakatiya and water grid programmes, the MLC said that electing Rammohan Rao, who had close relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the Legislative Council would help in bringing Central funds to the State as well as giving a strong signal to the TRS government.

He criticised Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao for fielding an owner of corporate education institutions Palla Rajeshwar Reddy as the party candidate in the Legislative Council elections from Warangal-Khammam- Nalgonda graduates’ constituency. Alleging that Rajeshwar Reddy had acted in favour of united Andhra Pradesh, he pointed out that the latter had run his colleges during the Sakalajanula Samme also. Graduate voters should teach a fitting lesion to KCR by defeating TRS candidates in the elections to the two graduates’ constituencies, he said.

BJP Nalgonda district president Veerelli Chandrasekhar and BJP leaders Oruganti Ramulu, Chintha Muthyal Rao and P Shyam Sunder were among those present at the press conference.
