On Wednesday fire erupted at a chemical godown in Fatehnagar and property worth several lakhs of rupees was destroyed. Different fire stations’ fire tenders reached the godown to douse the flames.
Fire Officer of Sanathnagar Fire Station, M A Shareef said that the call was received around 10 AM regarding a fire accident in Fatehnagar at Jyothi Chemicals Godown and immediately two fire tenders from Sanathnagar were rushed to the spot.
Two more fire tenders from Kukatpally and Jeedimetla fire stations joined the operation with the fire spreading swiftly due to the presence of chemicals and other combustible material said Mr Shareef. Police are on the search of the owners of the godown as following the incident, they fled.
