ACB officials raid on former DMHO in Warangal After getting suspended recently on the allegations of illegalities in the purchase of 108 ambulances, former DMHO P. Sambashiva Rao has new trouble to face as Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided his residence on Thursday.

After getting suspended recently on the allegations of illegalities in the purchase of 108 ambulances, former DMHO P. Sambashiva Rao has new trouble to face as Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided his residence on Thursday.


As the ACB team found disproportionate assets worth several crores including gold and silver, Mr. Rao who was set to retire in a month was arrested.


Simultaneously, five ACB teams raided Mr Rao’s residence along with his relatives’ houses in Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Nizamabad and a college on Mulugu Road where Mr Rao is a partner.


Mr Rao had always been embroiled in controversies. After allegedly being appointed as the director of the Health and Medical department of Telangana State recommended by Dr Rajaiah, he was demoted to the post of DMHO in Warangal due to charges of negligence on the swine flu issue and also other corruption charges.
