Nalgonda: The Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Saturday felt that the TRS only had the moral right
to seek votes in the elections from Graduates constituencies.

Speaking at an election campaign meeting in Nakeral in the district, Harish Rao said the Congress, TDP and BJP had adopted double standards at the height of agitation for separate Telangana. He asked the graduates voters to defeat the candidates fielded by the Congress and BJP. Stating that the TRS government was committed to fulfil all its pre-poll promises, the Minister pointed out that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao pledged to honour all the promises made to the people.

The Chief Minister was giving top priority to Nalgonda district, Harish Rao pointed out that the State government had taken steps to set up thermal power plants with capacity of 76,000 MW at Damaracharla in the district. Water Grip programme would also be launched in the districts and supply, he said.

Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Nethi Vidhya Sagar, Bhongir MP B Narsaiah Goud, MLC Pula Ravinder and Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham where among those who attended the meeting.
