Khammam: Launching a tirade against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS government has failed on all fronts. Addressing a press conference at the Congress Bhavan here on Sunday, Reddy alleged that KCR was doing injustice to Khammam district. He was in the city to campaign for the party nominee Teenmar Mallanna, who is contesting for the Legislative Council election from Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Graduates’ constituency.

“KCR didn’t allocate even a single rupee to Bhadrachalam, the abode of Lord Sri Rama, in the recent Budget, though the shrine holds a special place in the hearts of the people in the State,” he said. He (KCR) will allocate crores of rupees as it happened in the case of Yadagirigutta or else nothing, the PCC chief added.

Stating that the government was not serious on the welfare of people, he also found fault with KCR for encouraging defections and indulging in horse-trading to weaken the opposition parties. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that KCR ignored his poll promises like 2-BHK houses to poor, KG to PG free education and free 3- acre land to Dalits by allocating meagre funds in the State budget.“KCR talks more than he performs,” Reddy remarked, stating that the TRS had come to power by giving promises that were impossible to implement.

He said that people possessed complete awareness and they realise that KCR and his family members used separate Telangana movement to meet their own ends. Earlier, the PCC chief along with former AP State Assembly Speaker K Suresh Reddy, former union minister Balaram Naik, former minister Ramreddy Venkata Reddy, Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and a host of party workers took part in a huge rally in the city.
