Who Killed Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad?. Poet and literary personality Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad (53), died on Sunday of multiple organ failure at a super specialty hospital.

A Joint Director in the Social Welfare Department and a former Director of Culture for Telangana and also HDPP secretary at TTD is survived by wife Nagini and sons Ramakoteswara Raju and Samvaran.
Rallabandi, as he was popularly called in cultural and literary circles had suffered a massive cardiac seizure about a month ago and with three valves found blocked, doctors put him on ventilator. Even as they were considering bypass procedure, both kidneys failed and the end was inevitable.
It is tragic that Rallabandi is a casualty of bureaucratic tussle as there was delay in release of funds for his medical treatment in the normal course and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had to speed track it by a special order.
While there has been all round praise for his work and contribution to Telugu culture and literature, it is said that there was not adequate response to his family pleas for grants towards medicare in time.
We all praise and admire our achievers and forget about their personal woes. Most of them (achievers) are men of self dignity and their pride does not allow them to go seeking for help eve if it is genuine. So one could say that it was the fault of the society for which he had struggled for decades that did not come to his succor in his hour of need. Long live people like Rallabandi.
