Karimnagar: The SSC students of Karimnagar district are gearing up for Board Examinations. Some students feel that the concept of combined studies not only helps them overcome the fear factor but also makes them understand where they stand subject-wise compared to others. But there are other students who do not agree that the combined studies are in fact good. It is because students waste their time in gossip.

“Since every student cannot excel in all subjects, group discussions help students exchange ideas on topics. For instance, since biology is not my area of interest, I find it difficult to learn the subject. But, my understanding of the subject is boosted when I interact with my friends,” says Bhavani, Class X student of Paramitha High School.

Shreya, however, has a different opinion on combined studies. She said, “It distracts me and induces a certain degree of irritation when I discover that some of my friends are disturbing my studies. So, in such conditions I generally prefer studying alone.” The District Education Officer K Lingaiah, in a statement released here on Wednesday, said all arrangements were made for SSC examinations in the district. The examinations are to be held from April 25. A total of 274 examination centres would be set up and a total of 63,322 students are expected to appear for the SSC examinations. Out of which 58,558 students are appearing regular and 4,764 students are private candidates.
