Karimnagar: Superintendent of Police V Shiva Kumar urged police to acquire knowledge on modern technology to prevent cyber crimes.The SP inaugurated a two-day workshop for police personnel on ‘cyber crimes’ at Vageshwari Engineering College here. Talking about the steps taken for improving the knowledge of modern technology among the police personnel, the SP said, "We invited the Engineering students to complete various projects.
If the projects designed by the students are helpful for the Police Department we are going to give rewards along with assigning some more projects to design." He also said, "We are taking various measures to stop the cheating, which is taking place through credit and debit cards. To provide awareness on cyber crimes to all sections of people, we are about to conduct some programmes in every police station.”
