Governor ESL Narasimhan on Wednesday said that the Speaker alone had authority on the proceedings taking place in the assembly premises and that his (speaker) word was the law and final word.

His comments came in the wake of visits of TTDP members and the YSRC members’ complaints against the respective speakers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh assembly. The Governor who is on a two day tour of the districts said the Mission Kakatiya was a major and ambitious program which would transform the Telangana districts into a green hub. In nostalgia, the Governor recalled his tenure as ASP at Nasampeta 43 years ago and said Warangal district had make a giant leap in development to the day he served in the state.
