Bomb hoax at Osmania Hospital

Hyderabad: A phone call threatening that a bomb would go off in the Osmania Hospital led to panic late on Tuesday night. Unidentified miscreants called up the hospital authorities on Tuesday night claiming that a bomb would go off in the hospital. Anxiety gripped patients, doctors and the staff members who heard the news.

Afzalgunj police, sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads were pressed into service immediately and a thorough search was launched. Later, it turned out that it was a hoax call. A senior police official warned that severe action would be taken against those who make such hoax calls that disrupt daily life and cause panic among public.
