Warangal gang rapists-a degree student, sanitary worker, coolies Four persons accused in a gang-rape case were arrested by the police on Wednesday. They had raped a woman at Desaipet on March 27, who was rescued by some youth playing cricket nearby.

Warangal Deputy Superintendent of Police M.S.Surendranath said they took into custody Byrapati Rajkumar aka Billa (23),Gandam Ravi (21), Kadem Narasimha (24) and Vanarasi Laxmi Narayana (38) of Balajinagar, Warangal.
The DSP said the accused committed the crime while the woman was with her associate and had also thrashed the victim’s associate threatening them of dire consequences when the victim tried to resist their attempt.
However, some youths, who were playing cricket near the place of incident rushed to spot hearing the cries of the victim’s associate and rescued the woman. The accused fled to Vemulawada later came to Annaram Shareef and after learning that police were searching for them, surrendered.
