Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday alleged that the TRS government was not bothered about the poor people and it was working in the interests of the rich. Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here, he said the government was purchasing Fortune cars and lands for the rich people whereas it was fleecing the poor by increasing power tariff, toll gate fee and VAT on petrol and diesel. Strongly criticising the suspension of TDP members from Telangana Assembly, the TDP leader said the TRS government deliberately acted on this issue and it was afraid that the TDP members might embarrass it by raising public issues in the House. It was unfortunate that the TRS government did not revoke suspension in spite of written apology, though its members never showed any disrespect to the National Anthem, he said.
