AP Express to be rechristened as Telangana Express

Raising the issue of rechristening the name of AP Express to Telangana Express from New Delhi to Hyderabad, Minister of Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu also brought the issue with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for introducing a new AP Express between Visakhapatnam and New Delhi via Vijayawada.

Expressing concern over the delay, Venkaiah Naidu stated that in a couple of days, the rechristening of AP Express as Telangana Express will take place; assured by Suresh Prabhu. Also, discussions took place regarding commissioning international airport at Tirupati with Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr Mahesh Sharma and it is likely to be commissioned by May.
