The High Court bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sen Gupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar dealing with filed by Dhangopal Rao seeking a direction for formation of two High Courts on Thursday stated that arranging a separate high court for the Telangana State will not be as simple as setting up a Panchayathi office.

The high court bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sen Gupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar dealing with filed by Dhangopal Rao seeking a direction for formation of two High Courts on Thursday stated that arranging a separate high court for the Telangana State will not be as simple as setting up a Panchayathi office.


Assistant Solicitor General, B. Narayana Reddy representing Union of India, informed the court that Rs.500 crore was granted under Section 94(3) of the AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014 but no specific details of allotment of funds for the forthcoming High Court were made which is the reason the case was adjourned to Friday.


Unless the basic infrastructure is arranged, the high court bench stated that for a separate high court can’t be granted for the Telangana state.
