There was five cm rainfall each in Hanamkonda, Yacharam, Maheshwaram and Manchal areas of Warangal and Ranga Reddy districts on Friday under the influence of an upper air trough from the Lakshdweep area to Chhattisgarh across interior Karnataka and Telangana.

Hyderabad: There was five cm rainfall each in Hanamkonda, Yacharam, Maheshwaram and Manchal areas of Warangal and Ranga Reddy districts on Friday under the influence of an upper air trough from the Lakshdweep area to Chhattisgarh across interior Karnataka and Telangana.

There was two cm of rain each in Hayatnagar, Hasanparthy, Dichpalle, Ramayampet, Mahbubnagar , Madnur and Achampet. Hailstorm was reported in Hyderabad, Rangareddy ,Karimnagar and Medak districts of Telangana between 4pm and 9 pm.On Friday, the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in Coastal Andhra. They were above normal at one or two places in Andhra Pradesh and below normal at one or two places in Telangana.

Kadapa recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius in the southern region. The Met office on Saturday forecast rain or thundershowers at a few places in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days. It has also warned of hail storm/heavy rainfall occurring at a few places in Telangana. Thunderstorm accompanied by isolated hailstorm may occur in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh on April 12 and in Rayalaseema, besides Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts on April 13.
