Nizamabad: Nizamabad police on Tuesday inducted 50 cycles into Blue Colts wing for effective policing and to check crimes under various police stations in the district. Nizamabad District Superintendent of Police S Chandrashekhar Reddy flagged off the vehicles and launched the Blue Colts wing at Nizamabad police parade grounds.
On the occasion, the SP, said as the government intention was to control crime rate under each and every police station in the state, it has allotted the 50 motor cycles to Blue Colts police to check crimes and keep a strict vigil.
The SP informed the public that in an emergency they should call 100 number and seek the assistance of the Blue Colts teams. The Blue Colts team members reach the interior places where the police Rakshak teams could not reach and give support to the people, SP added.
