56 families return safely from Nepal

A total of 133 persons belonging to 56 families, who got stuck in Nepal earthquake, returned to their homes on Thursday. Family members reached the district in Ghorakpur Express and got down at Ramagunda railway station from where they were transported to their native villages. District administration has arranged five RTC buses to transport them to their homes-free of cost.

Karimnagar: A total of 133 persons belonging to 56 families, who got stuck in Nepal earthquake, returned to their homes on Thursday. Family members reached the district in Ghorakpur Express and got down at Ramagunda railway station from where they were transported to their native villages. District administration has arranged five RTC buses to transport them to their homes-free of cost.


Though they hail from different mandals such as Thimmapur, Manakondur, Karimnagar, Huzurabad and Ramadugu, all of them were belonging to same community (Budigajangalu). As soon as they reached their villages, other members of 56 families received them joyfully and hugged each other with happiness since 133 members returned safely without any sign of injury.


Hundreds of people are still facing troubles in quake devastated country. About 1500 to 2000 families belonging to the community have migrated to Nepal. District Collector Neethu Kumari Prasad, promised to extend all possible support to people arriving from Nepal.
