Director of Animal Husbandry, D Venkateswarlu stated that samples have been sent Injapur village with a negative result. He also informed that the surveillance is on as per the standard operating procedures and guidelines of Government of India.


The process of surveillance that would be carried for three months, has completed the first round with sample collection from the villages within ten km radius of the place hit by bird flu. As the bird flu surfaced a month ago, around 1.60 lakh birds have been culled by the authorities at a farm at Hayatnagar on the city outskirts.
