Nizamabad: The Nizamabad district administration decided to celebrate the Telangana State Formation Day in a grand manner and conduct the week-long celebration from village-level to district-level to reflect Induru (Nizamabad) Culture and Heritage. District Collector D Ronald Ross called upon the people, voluntary organisations, public representatives, artists and employees to participate in this celebrations in a big way.
The Collector on Saturday conducted a meeting with high-level officers and directed them to decorate the government offices and illuminate them. The celebration should begin from June, 1 at 9 pm and the government officials and staff should participate in the festivities in the midnight and ignite the fireworks.
On June 2 , the public representatives will hoist flag at mandal, division and district-levels and pay homage to the martyrs at martyr’s statues, the Collector added. The Collector said, the government would felicitate the experts in various fields and give them cash awards. Awards committee comprising district in-charge Minister, Collector and ZP Chairman should select the awardees at District, Mandal, Municipality and Municipal Corporation levels.
At district level, they choose 30 experts from various sectors and felicitate with 51,116 cash prize. At mandal, municipality and municipal corporation levels- 10, 15 and 20 members would be chosen and felicitated with Rs 10,116 cash prize, he added. The Collector directed the MPDOs and Tahsildars to appoint a mandal-level committee and suggest the names of awardees to awards committee.
Ross said the awards committee would choose people from various fields- farmer, teacher, doctors, social activists, writers, journalists, sportspersons, authors, artists, lawyers, government employees and others sectors.
