Public hearing on NTPC plant peaceful

The public hearing for establishing 1,600 MW thermal power plant by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), was held in peaceful manner on Saturday. Telangana State Pollution Control Board on Saturday conducted the public hearing at zilla parishad high school in Godavarikhani and sought objections from the public on environmental issues.

District In-charge Collector Pausumi Basu presided over the programme.Expressing their views on the upcoming power plant, the project oustees alleged that NTPC had meted a raw deal to them.
