Osmania students stage protest at Swagath Grand Hotel

Osmania University students on Monday staged protest at the Swagath Grand Hotel in Habsiguda and alleged that the hotel was built illegally in the University lands. Demanding instant evacuation of the Hotel, the students raised slogans and threw stones at the restaurant.

The Telangana Students Wing and few other student groups who organized the protest warned against the thought of encroaching OU Lands. Police intervened in the protest and arrested student leaders. The students have taken up these protests ever since Chief Minister KCR announced the OU lands will be utilized for building houses for the poor.
