With the Telangana Formation Day on June 2 marking one year rule of the government, the state is all set for the week-long celebrations.

A host of events depicting Telangana’s struggle for statehood and the culture of the state will be put forth by the 10 districts in the newly-formed state on a grand scale. The celebrations will be held from June 2-7 showcasing the rich history of the state that was formed as the 29th state of the country on June 2, 2014.
On June 2, the celebrations will commence with floral tributes paid at Martyrs Memorial in Gun Park following which the national flag will be unfurled on all the government offices.
Tourism and Culture principal secretary, BP Acharya informed that security forces will put forth a march past at the Parade Grounds and various departments will hold a tableaux show which will be followed by award distribution. Also, a cash award will be given to the citizens of the state for their significant service in their respective fields.
