Telangana first anniversary: BC students to get sops

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Telangana State Formation Day on June 2 is expected to announce schemes to bridge the gap between formulating policies and meeting people’s aspirations.

Discrepancy emerged when BC’s felt isolated with no major schemes provided for them in the one year Telangana rule while the SCs, STs and Minorities were a part of schemes – Kalyanamastu, Shaadi Mubarak and 3 – acre free land.

However, in the second year rule, KCR is said to have asked the government advisers to reset the priorities of the TS government with new scheme suggestions to look into more sections of people. Particularly students and backward classes are expected to get special schemes that are to be announced on TS Formation Day.

KCR is likely to put forth schemes for the BC’s with training-linked self-employment and bank loans while fresh sops for students will be announced that includes announcing a road map for future recruitments and filling existing vacancies for the coming three years.
