HC grants anticipatory bail to lady accused in organ scam

Justice Raja Elango of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday granted anticipatory bail to a lady accused in the organ transplant scam in Hyderabad . The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Kavita, a resident of Shirdi. Her husband Dr Saxena was arrested along with four others on the ground that they lured persons and got them to donate their kidney for commercial reasons.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Kavita, a resident of Shirdi. Her husband Dr Saxena was arrested along with four others on the ground that they lured persons and got them to donate their kidney for commercial reasons.
The petitioner pointed out that she was neither named in the FIR nor mentioned in the remand case diary. She also complained that she was added as an accused at the alleged confession of the first accused though he did not make any such confession about her.
