A 17-year-old Intermediate student was injured after he was allegedly beaten up by his lecturer for coming late to class at the Narayana junior college's residential campus at Madinaguda.
The student, Md Saad Pasha, a resident of Charminar attended an internal exam without a pen and the mathematics lecturer who was at the exam hall beat him up, it is learnt.
Saad Pasha suffered minor scars on his back. The student who did not remember the lecturer's name lodged a complaint with the Miyapur police.
The police registered a case and sent the boy for a medical examination. The victim alleged that the Miyapur police had initially refused to register a complaint.
