Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao on his 94th birth anniversary at PV Gnan Bhumi here on Sunday. Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari, Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy, Ministers T Harish Rao, P Mahender Reddy, T Nageshwar Rao, MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma and family members of late PV Narasimha Rao were among those who offered floral tributes to the departed leader.

Students paying floral tributes to former prime minister the late PV Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his 94th birth anniversary at PV Gnan Bhumi in Hyderabad on Sunday.

They released an album ‘Kala Sudha’ comprising exemplary painting works of Surabhi Vanidevi, daughter of PV Narasimha Rao on the occasion. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy, MP V Hanmanth Rao, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, APCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy, KVP Ramachandra Rao and others also paid tributes to the late leader.

Speaking on the occasion, Naini Narsimha Reddy said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government would follow the ideals of PV Narasimha Rao, who was the son of Telangana soil. PV Narasimha Rao was noted for introducing revolutionary financial reforms that resulted in progress of every sector in the country and his government would not forget Narasimha Rao’s services, he said.

Entire world appreciated Narasimha Rao’s financial reforms, they said and appealed to the governments to emulate his ideals. Narasimha Rao’s son PV Rajeshwar Rao and other family members said it was the TRS government that gave recognition to the former prime minister. They deplored that the previous governments had failed to recognize services of PV Narasimha Rao.
