He held a meeting with police officials on the security arrangements to be provided for the devotees coming for Godavari Pushkaralu, at the Mini Conference hall in SP office here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Necessary arrangements were made on the Godavari bridge to prevent traffic jam, keeping in mind the past experiences. One traffic police, with a special jacket will be employed at every current pole to clear the traffic. At every junction, one SI, two ASI's, six Head Constables and six police constables are deployed.

The temple DSP will monitor the queue lines of devotees inside the temple." He told the officials to make alternate arrangements immediately for the vehicular traffic, if it rains. Modern traffic system has been established for the convenience of the devotees at Kothagudem, Manuguru and Bhadrachalam from July 14 to 25, during Godavari Pushkaralu.

Along with this, crime parties, armed pickets, control room and watch towers also set up for the purpose. Additional Superintendent of Police Saikrishna, DSPs Ashok Kumar, Dakshina Murthy, Ram Reddy, Surendar Rao, Kavitha, Bhaskaran, Veerashwar Rao and Rajesh were present along with others.
