The party delegation led by party’s Telangana unit president L Ramana submitted a memorandum to the President and urged him to initiate appropriate action and restore rule of law.

The delegation told Pranab that the five MLAs - T Srinivas Yadav (Sanathnagar), T Krishna Reddy (Maheswaram), Ch Dharma Reddy (Parkala), M Kishan Reddy (Ibrahimpatnam) and M Krishna Rao (Kukatpalli) - defected to the TRS during the last one year in violation of the provisions of the Constitution, especially the Tenth Schedule.

The party made several representations to the Governor and Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary demanding disqualification of the turncoats, but the two kept silence, Ramana said adding that four more MLAs from Congress and two from other parties also defected into the TRS.

The party also brought to the notice of the President that the Speaker neither accepted nor rejected the resignation letter submitted by T Srinivas Yadav on the same day he assumed charge as Minister in the K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Cabinet
