Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee is unlikely to flag off Godavari Pushkaralu slated to begin from July 14 to 25 in Telangana State. His ten-day southern sojourn is set to end on Wednesday morning when Pranab will be leaving by a special flight to New Delhi. With his hectic schedule in the coming weeks, it will be difficult for the President to return to the State for the second time in a week for Pushkaralu.
Endowment Minister Indrakaran Reddy extended invitation to the President when he went to meet the latter in Rashtrapati Nilayam on Monday. Sources said that Pranab Mukherjee was non-committal on it. According to sources, Indrakaran Reddy, who also holds Law portfolio, brought to his notice about delay in division of High Court.
Despite representations to the officials concerned, there had been no progress on this front, he told the President. Meanwhile Pranab told the Minister to be patient. Several issues needed to be addressed even after bifurcation and everything would be sorted out in due course, he is learnt to have told Indrakaran Reddy.
