HC suspends TS order on quota to children of army personnel
Justice AV Sesha Sai of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday suspended an order of the Telangana government on the methodology to be followed while making admissions to first year engineering in the category of seats reserved for children of army personnel.
Hyderabad: Justice AV Sesha Sai of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday suspended an order of the Telangana government on the methodology to be followed while making admissions to first year engineering in the category of seats reserved for children of army personnel. Under the order the government says that the native district of a candidate would be determined by the address the ex-serviceman gave at the time of joining the service.
This is in contrast to the earlier provision which empowered the ex-serviceman to choose either time of discharge from service. Justice Sesha Sai made the interim order in a writ petition filed by Gujjula Lalitha and others a day before the web counselling. It is also complained that there cannot be fresh prescriptions after the issuance of the original notification.
