KCR directs TSRTC to ply more buses. Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday instructed the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) to ply more buses in order to ensure that the stranded devotees reach their destinations from the Pushkar ghats.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday instructed the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) to ply more buses in order to ensure that the stranded devotees reach their destinations from the Pushkar ghats.

He asked the TSRTC Managing Director Ramana Rao to provide as many buses as required at all ghats. In view of large number of devotees coming from AP to the temple town Bhadrachalam, KCR wanted the corporation to run extra buses and clear the rush immediately.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the top officials and reviewed the situation at the ghats. KCR directed the officials to make available a helicopter at Bhadrachalam to tackle an emergency situation, if arose.

He was informed that police forces from Nalgonda, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar and Medak were deployed in the districts where Godavari Pushkaralu festivities were taking place. The steps taken by the police to ease traffic jams on the highways and State roads was also discussed in the meeting.

KCR spoke to his Cabinet colleagues T Harish Rao, J Ramanna, Indrakaran Reddy ,T Nageshwara Rao and Chief Whip K Eshwar on phone and enquired about the hardships, if any, faced by the devotees.
