Walk to create awareness on CSR
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) would be organising a five kilometre walk on August 9 in Hyderabad to spread awareness about ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR). ICSI is a professional body of Company Secretaries constituted under an Act of Parliament.
Hyderabad: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) would be organising a five kilometre walk on August 9 in Hyderabad to spread awareness about ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR). ICSI is a professional body of Company Secretaries constituted under an Act of Parliament.
The walk would be held at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road in Hyderabad from 6 pm. In a press release, ICSI National President Atul H Mehta said, “Corporate Social Respon- sibility is the order of the day and is a statutory requirement and has become mandatory un- der the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 directing the corporate world to be more so- cially responsible towards society.”
Mehta stated that with CSR initiatives, so- ciety could be empowered. The corporate com- panies can proudly claim that they are part of such an empowerment, he added. He further said that many celebrities, dignitaries and ministers other than participants would participate in the walk.
