The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday stayed the orders of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court in Vijayawada in alleged phone tapping case.

On Tuesday, the Telangana government moved the High Court seeking a stay on all proceedings in the phone tapping case at the Vijayawada court.

After the hearing the arguments from both the sides, the Court stayed the trial court's order and adjourned the case for four weeks.

The court ordered the telecoms to submit the call data to Vijayawada court in a sealed cover. The court further asked the Vijayawada court to submit the same sealed cover to High Court Registrar through a special messenger.
