GHMC assigns spl officers for Aadhaar seeding
To speed up the Aadhaar-EPIC seeding project, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) appointed special officers in addition to the booth level officers (BLO) GHMC Commissioner, Somesh Kumar, who reviewed the progress of work with senior officials here on Thursday, said officers from the different departments of the GHMC had been appointed to speed up Aadhaar-EPIC seeding project in all the 18 circle offices of the civic body.
Hyderabad: To speed up the Aadhaar-EPIC seeding project, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) appointed special officers in addition to the booth level officers (BLO) GHMC Commissioner, Somesh Kumar, who reviewed the progress of work with senior officials here on Thursday, said officers from the different departments of the GHMC had been appointed to speed up Aadhaar-EPIC seeding project in all the 18 circle offices of the civic body.
Out of 73.69 lakh voters, only 29 lakh voters had completed the Aadhaar-EPIC seeding, which constituted about 40 percent of the total, he said. The commissioner said the specially appointed officers would inspect how many households were covered by each BLO in a day and how many Aadhaar numbers were being updated. In case of low percentage of seeding being reported from any ward, the special officers would personally visit those wards to resolve the issues, he added.
