Telangana RTA launches RC with photos

Henceforth, the registration certificate of the vehicle will bear the image of the vehicle owner. In a new security measure, the Telangana Government has taken this decision.
Till now, any registration certificate (RC) of the vehicle would have no photograph of the owner. Only driving licence would have it.

Transport commissioner Sandeep Sultania launched the RC with photograph in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Sandeep Sultania said that with the photograph on the RC, police can identify the owner of the vehicle easily at the time of the accident. Speaking to the media on this, Telangana transport minister P Mahender Reddy said that Aadhaar is must for all the transactions at the RTA.
