Hyderabad: A verbal duel over examination results between students of various states resulted in a clash in which as many as 14 students of a private engineering college in Hyderabad were injured on Thursday. The incident occurred in Narayana Engineering College, now managed by NOVA group, located in Batasingaram of Hayathnagar police station limits during the noon hours of Thursday. According to the Hayathnagar police, the mess started when the students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states started a debate with the students hailing from Bihar over the results in the examinations conducted in the college.

The police said that the Telugu students attacked the Bihar students in the college. The Bihar students alerted their friends residing at a private hostel and the fist fight between the student groups gained more pace.
