Smita Sabharwal case: HC postpones hearing

The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad on Saturday postponed the hearing of the Smita Sabharwal case to September 7. The case filed against sanctioning Rs 15 Lakh by Telangana government to the IAS Officer to pursue her defamation case against the Outlook magazine.

Stating that the case would be heard along with the defamation case as both are related, the High Court postponed the hearing. Also, Telangana advocate K Ramakrishna Reddy's request of conducting in-camera proceedings for the two cases has been considered by the High Court.

A resident from Hyderabad, K Eshwar Rao had challenged the sanctioning of Rs 15 lakh to Smita Sabharwal.
