Hyderabad: Ridiculing the TRS government for stating that it was only 16-month-old baby, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy asked how the tiny baby (TRS government) was indulging in corrupt practices. Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Uttam demanded that the government waive off the crop loans of farmers at one go.

Questioning the government for saying it has no budget for loan waiver scheme, he asked how it was spending huge sums on Water Grid scheme. He further alleged that corruption was taking place in the Water Grid scheme. Making it clear they would not keep quiet if the government tried to slash the number of farmers’ suicides, the TPCC chief asserted that so far 1,400 farmers ended their lives in the State.

Stating that Congress would raise the scam in the Water Grid scheme in the Assembly soon, he said nobody has the information about the Rs 30,000 crore worth tender except Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT Minister K T Rama Rao. He further alleged that the TRS government conceived the Water Grid Scheme with an intention to get commissions worth thousands of crores of rupees from the contractors.
